This is a role that requires a high level of customer service, as well as general people management skills. As a customer care team leader, you’ll be overseeing a team of five customer service representatives, guiding and supporting them to perform well in their roles, leading by example. You’ll ensure that a high standard of service is provided to every customer that contacts the business. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, and have strong verbal communication skills. Our client is looking for a driven individual to join their organisation, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
  • Leading a small team of customer care professionals, honing their skills to ensure the highest level of service is delivered
  • Managing your team’s schedules, rotas and holidays
  • Regularly reporting to management, making recommendations and implementing personal as well as team action plans
  • Providing direct customer support, over the phone as well as through email and SMS
  • Supporting the debt collection and complaints teams
  • Assisting in the recruitment and training of new team members, and then monitoring their performance to identify further training opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience of collections and debt recovery, ideally within a managerial role
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with complete fluency in English - the ability to speak other languages also an advantage
  • A proven track record of hitting targets
  • An individual who demonstrates integrity when speaking with clients
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel essential
  • Experience with customer service software such as Zendesk, Salesforce or LiveAgent desirable but not a must
